AHO Syetun, Russia

Client: ST Group
Role: Masterplanning & Architecture

PRP’s competition proposal for AHO ‘Syetun’, in Moscow’s Western Administrative District, is a celebration of modern Russia - its breathtaking landscape, its unique people and its diverse culture and a reflection of the thriving communities that are driving Russia forward.

The lake at AHO ‘Syetun’ takes centre stage with all apartments, retail and activity spaces benefiting from stunning views of the lake and surrounding park land. The centrepiece of the residential design is the cluster of North Westerly-facing clubhouse atria blocks. Made of granite, steel and glass, they shield the site from wind and afford all apartments double aspects of the view and park land. The granite façade helps to capture the light off the lake, creating a shimmering and constantly changing backdrop. Each glass-enclosed atrium’s interior is also carefully landscaped with indigenous planting and water features to create continuity with the design. Inside are cafés, restaurants, retail shops, childcare nurseries, indoor tennis courts, medical facilities and health/fitness centres, to support community life throughout the year.
