Abstract

The objectives of the guide are to provide Abbeyfield societies and their consultants with practical advice to ensure that refurbishment projects meet the best possible standards of housing for both frail and more independent older people and that the residents are offered, as far as possible, a home for life. The guide contains information that is useful and accessible and will enable societies to carry out remodelling work with confidence whilst encouraging them to seek further assistance and advice fro the sources referred to in the guide.
