Tredegar Estate, London Borough of Bow

Client: Old Ford Housing Association
Role: Architecture, Masterplanning, Landscape Architecture and Consultation

The Tredegar Estate in Bow forms part of the Tower Hamlets HAT, a phased regeneration programme led by Old Ford Housing Association in partnership with Inspace. There will be nearly 400 new homes provided when all phases are complete.

PRP's winning proposals looked to correct some layout difficulties with the existing masterplan, improving the security of the design, enhancing access through the estate and creating a more urban style of development. In tune with the GLA's strategic plan for London, the new proposals increase the density of development whilst concentrating on design issues which are critical to creating long term sustainable development. The PRP design proposals are being integrated into the heart of a framework urban plan for the surrounding area.
