Mixed Use

Urban environments need to serve a multitude of users, and increasingly housing of different typologies and tenure is being integrated with a range of other building types and functions in order to create neighbourhoods and places where people can live, work and play.

Our projects illustrate a mix of retail, commercial, leisure and community uses, on a large scale and to high densities. We believe this symbiotic mix is critical to ensure the long-term success of a community, particularly in inner city regeneration areas.

Our designs also offer a more sustainable model for the environment by reducing the need for cars as people have easier access to shops and amenities - a low energy, low carbon approach that benefits from economies of scale.
