The redevelopment of the former psychiatric hospital in Epsom, Surrey, will provide for 322 homes (including 100 affordable units). Units range from 1-2 bed flats, with the largest proportion providing 2-5 bed family homes. As well as providing private homes, over 30 percent of the new homes will be reserved for key workers and social housing. This initiative is in line with the government targets for providing affordable homes in the area. As part of the commitment to design and build the development to a high environmental standard, 20 percent of energy will be generated from onsite renewable sources.
