Our expertise in specialist housing design is grounded in research; we have produced several comprehensive design guides on the subject of specialist accommodation for older people, helping us to stay abreast of the relevant changes in policy and legislation.

PRP has developed a dedicated team of architects focused on the design and procurement of specialist housing and care facilities. Our workload encompasses ‘special needs’ projects, including sheltered housing, extra care, care homes, accommodation for people with learning disabilities, mental health problems and physical disabilities, day centres and retirement villages. Our expertise has been employed in the remodelling of existing buildings as well as in new build design.

In the field of extra care sheltered housing, we have unparalleled experience, with some 25 completed schemes and a similar number either on site or in design.
