About Consultation

Regeneration and new build developments are becoming increasingly complex to deliver - the emerging Localism Bill, challenging site constraints and the multiple interests of diverse stakeholders and communities, must all be addressed.

Increasingly evidence of stakeholder engagement is required by funders, politicians, and planners, regardless of the size of the project with planners requiring a Statement of Community Involvement on larger planning applications. So managing stakeholders and ensuring their interests, issues and concerns are addressed has become a crucial element of all development projects.

PRP has a long history and track record of involving stakeholders at the relevant stages of a project's life. This is nothing new to us. We work closely with our clients at the briefing stage to tailor the appropriate consultation strategy for their project which will include:

  • Mapping the various stakeholders, their influence and interests
  • Establishing the core messages and communications strategy
  • Setting out guidance for consultation - where, when, who, whom, and what
  • Tying in the consultation to critical project stages and milestones

We offer a wide range of consultation services that have been tried and tested on a number of projects including design exhibitions, charettes, workshops, focus groups, surveys, questionnaires, telephone and web-based surveys.
