Andrew has particular experience of UK and International sustainability projects including large scale masterplans, regeneration projects, commercial, hospitality, education and residential development.  He also has much expertise in the low carbon retrofit sector including building upgrades, policy and guidance preparation and business strategy direction.

His expertise ensures that the social and economic aspects of sustainability are considered on projects and that the most optimum solutions are developed.

Andrew regularly speaks at national and international conferences, writes articles and opinion pieces, delivers training and advises clients on corporate policy and business strategies.

Marylis Ramos
Associate Director


Marylis has experience of developing sustainability strategies for masterplan and architectural projects as well as delivering research programmes. She has expertise in microclimate assessment, particularly with regard to sunlight and daylight and thermal comfort and is able to provide advice on a wide range of sustainability issues, related to both building and urban design.

She has excellent knowledge of UK and International environmental assessment procedures and energy efficiency policy.  Marylis has written a number of publications, spoken at conferences and uses her design skills to produce intelligent graphics for communication purposes.

Mel Starrs
Associate Director


Mel is an Environmental Accreditation system expert.  She is a licensed BREEAM and LEED assessor and was one of the pioneers of BREEAM AP.  She has a keen interest in global building and masterplan accreditation systems and has experience of several international systems.  Her technical engineering background also provides Mel with a very good understanding of building physics and technology specification.

Mel has extensive knowledge of existing and proposed policy related to energy and environmental performance.  She provides training for corporate and public clients and advises clients on policy and business strategy.

Chris Wilford
Associate Director


As chair of PRP's sustainable Steering Group, Chris's role is to ensure current thinking on sustainable design is understood throughout the company. He is particularly interested in bringing zero carbon design and exemplar sustainability together with the design of the practice's education buildings. Whilst at PRP Chris has been closely involved with the extension and conversion of a primary school which achieves BREEAM excellent and designs for a Zero Carbon school, based on passive design principles.

Prior to joining PRP, his experience of HE came through his role as sustainable design consultant for the design team on the Higher Education Campus for Hastings Station Plaza. Chris represents PRP on the UK Green Building Council, which they are founder members of.
