One of the British Museum’s most successful and internationally acclaimed events, the launch of ‘The First Emperor – China’s Terracotta Army’ exhibition, was accompanied by a stunning range of merchandise which its Great Court Bookshop and Grenville Shop had to accommodate.
The many and varied types of merchandise presented a key challenge for our design team. Our objective was to ensure that we could draw visitors’ eyes to the displays and create a unique retail experience that would extend the experience of the exhibition as they walked through the shop.
We designed dynamic new retail fittings and retail units, providing a unique and bespoke showcase for the merchandise and successfully extending the retail experience further into the Great Court.
