Glebelands, Wokingham

Client: Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund
Role: Interior Design and Architecture

The sympathetic redesign of the Grade ll listed late 19th Century ‘Arts and Crafts’ house.

Glebelands, owned and managed by the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund, is a nursing home that caters uniquely for those who have worked ‘behind the scenes’ in the TV and film industry.

Taking inspiration from the history of the house and the cinematic background of its residents, our new design responds specifically to the needs of both residents and staff, providing them with new stage and cinema facilities, a redesigned library, sitting rooms and dining rooms. The end result is a sumptuous, elegant and stately home that blends contemporary function with a touch of cinematic glamour and style.
