Role: Masterplanning and Development Brief

PRP Planning led a multi-disciplinary team in the preparation of a Development Brief and masterplan for Strood Riverside, identified as a key regeneration site within the Medway Waterfront Renaissance Strategy.

Working in consultation with the local community and key stakeholders, PRP sought to prepare a masterplan that would unlock the potential of the site, provide a framework to ensure quality in terms of built environment and contribute to the regeneration of Strood as a vibrant and balanced local community centre.

The resulting masterplan and Development Brief establishes a coherent set of land use and design parameters to guide future regeneration and sets out planning application and Section 106 requirements. PRP worked with the local authority in ensuring that the Development Brief was adopted as a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) and facilitated the process of sustainability appraisal.
