About Affordable Housing

The design and delivery of social housing has been at the heart of our work since the earliest days of the practice when it delivered pioneering schemes for housing associations and we have remained at the forefront in this area of work ever since.

Today there is a large deficit of affordable housing solutions in the UK, with many being unable to gain a foothold on the property ladder until late in life and in need of alternative forms of tenure for rentor part ownership. Additionally there are many in our society who are disadvantaged, on Council housing waiting lists and in dire need of improved accommodation.

Our strength lies in our understanding of in the commercial needs of the development, sales and management teams of our client organisations and end user and communities they serve, leading to the delivery of sustainable neighbourhood solutions.

Our clients include Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Private Developers and other Housing Providers involved in the supply of affordable housing and we have a wide network of partners across all parts of the industry in all areas of the UK.

We work with our partners, the Homes and Communities Agency and Local Authorities to improve the quality of housing through design and technical innovation and we regularly contribute to emerging national and local policy.

The practice has designed many exemplar schemes, won many awards and is a recognised industry leader in this sector.
