Tim Richards

Tim heads PRP's primary and secondary education sector and plays an active leadership role on all education projects.

His extensive architectural experience includes new primary and secondary schools, extensions and remodelling of existing schools and student accommodation through the various stages from feasibility to inception.

He is experienced in most standard methods of procurement and his work has involved him in public consultation and planning inquiries. Tim's key interests include a sustainable approach to architecture and urban design.
Viru Vadgama
Associate Director

In the education sector Viru has worked on projects for Voluntary Aided and independent schools, the DCSF, Local Education Authorities and Diocesan Boards. Viru is currently leading our project team on the £9M redevelopment of a school in London, and a large extension to a primary school in Wandsworth, both projects are part of the Primary Capital Programme. His experience also includes secondary schools including more recently a £9M masterplan design and delivery for the redevelopment of Bishop Stopford's Secondary School in Enfield and a £2M extension to Shene School in Richmond. His experience on independent schools includes a design masterplan for the redevelopment of Weston Green School in Thames Ditton and previously on Francis Holland School in Sloane Square.
Chris Wilford
Associate Director

As chair of PRP's sustainable Steering Group, Chris's role is to ensure current thinking on sustainable design is understood throughout the company. He is particularly interested in bringing zero carbon design and exemplar sustainability together with the design of the practice's education buildings. Whilst at PRP Chris has been closely involved with the extension and conversion of a primary school which achieves BREEAM excellent and designs for a Zero Carbon school, based on passive design principles.

Prior to joining PRP, his experience of HE came through his role as sustainable design consultant for the design team on the Higher Education Campus for Hastings Station Plaza. Chris represents PRP on the UK Green Building Council, which they are founder members of.
Michael Betts
Associate

Michael has specialised in educational buildings for many years and worked on a number of buildings at secondary school and further education / university level.

He is currently project leader and designer for a new Special Educational Needs School and Children's Home for the RNIB which he has led from the feasibility study, through Planning, working drawings, and construction phases with completion of phase 1 due autumn 2010.

Michael has a keen interest in environmental and sustainable design and is a pivotal member of the PRP Sustainability Steering Group. He is studying for an MSc in Environmental and Sustainable Building Design.
