About Reuse & Retrofit

Throughout the practice's history, we have been actively involved in regenerating a wide variety of existing building stock through refurbishment, conversions, sensitive listed buildings projects, and entire housing estate renewal programmes.

Our multi-disciplinary specialisms enable us to undertake stock condition surveys and viability appraisals, establish and deliver appropriate energy and environmental strategies, navigate the required consultation exercises with building occupants, planning authorities and other stakeholders and manage the complex technical delivery issues.

This unique range of skills sets us apart in the industry and allows us to deliver attractive, desirable and sustainable schemes, whilst making best use of the significant embodied energy contained within our existing building stock.

Through our founder membership of the UK Green Building Council and position on the steering group of the Existing Homes Alliance,

PRP is directly involved in addressing the complex solutions required to tackle the scale of the task ahead for the UK to achieve its stated carbon emissions reduction targets and tackle rising fuel poverty.

Our low carbon retrofit specialists are recognised as industry leaders and we have designed and delivered a number of retrofit exemplar projects at the individual building and community scales, including Green Deal pilot projects.
