Anne-Marie is a leading specialist in the field of design for older people and those with special needs. She joined PRP in August 1997 and was appointed Group Director in 2007.

Her particular areas of interest and experience include: Extra Care Sheltered Housing, Care Homes, Designs for People with Dementia, Retirement Villages, Assisted Living, Housing and Day Care for People with Learning Disabilities and environments for blind and partially sighted Young People with complex needs.

As Group Director ,Anne-Marie oversees the team of designers working in the specialist housing and care sector. Her own expertise has been gathered over some twelve years, during which time she has designed and researched environments that support and enable those with impairments to lead more independent lives. Anne-Marie has a real passion to share her knowledge and bring innovation to new design challenges, whilst recognising the need to create environments that are domestic, comfortable and bring delight to those who use them. Anne-Marie is a regular contributor at conferences and seminars and is involved with key events organised by the Department of Health to discuss Extra Care Sheltered Housing and Models of Continuing Care accommodation.

Anne-Marie has written a number of recognised design guides on designing for older people and has recently been asked to update a number of these to bring them in line with current thinking and changes in standards and legislation.

Anne-Marie studied Architecture at the University of Brighton.
