David Loxton

Surrey

Associate Director

Dip Arch RIBA

David’s early experience spans working on airport terminal buildings and system-built schools to the London Borough of Hounslow, where he was part of a multi-disciplinary department covering education, leisure, family and special needs housing. He was an active member of the Education Curriculum Study group, “Art and the Built Environment”, bringing an appreciation of the built environment to school children.

David joined PRP in 1986 and has since focused on education and community buildings. He specialises in project leading housing developments for Housing Associations and private developers. He is instrumental in driving PRP’s education projects group, delivering innovative school schemes for St Vincent’s in Mill Hill, Bishop Stopford’s School in Enfield, Golden Lane in Islington, Grange Primary in Newham and Prins Willem Alexander in Woking.

Other signature projects include working on Carlton Gate, a large urban development in West London. This high profile, complex scheme comprised nearly 600 apartments, accommodation for 420 nurses working at a local hospital and a Health Centre.

Project management forms a key component of David’s skills set and he takes an active role in driving project management best practice across the organisation. David also spearheaded the Practices’ Quality Assurance accreditation.

Trained at Thames Polytechnic, David became an Associate Director in 2000.
