Ian Crane

Surrey

Associate Director

Ian Crane joined PRP in 1999 and became an Associate Director in 2008.

Whilst at PRP Ian has worked extensively in housing over the last nine years in both private and public sectors. Projects undertaken have extended Ian’s expertise in urban design, housing layout, the private and affordable housing market and the special needs of the disabled and elderly.

Ian has extensive experience in engaging clients and residents together in democratic consultation processes and has been involved in realising a broad list of building projects including City Centre, Brownfield, Greenfield and Riverside locations; differing forms of procurement and construction methods on large and small scale developments across the country.

After leaving university, where he was awarded The RIBA South East Student Award for Design, Ian gained experience working in the residential, hotel and education fields. Early work includes new-build and refurbishment projects for large private houses and Churches in the South East and the consultation and implementation of regeneration strategies of inner London housing estates.

Outside of work Ian has enjoyed success in participating and winning RIBA design competitions, most notably the Holistic Hotels Competition in 2001.

Ian trained at Brighton University.
