Philip joined PRP in 1997 and was appointed a Board Director in 2005. He holds financial and management responsibility for Project Services and is also actively involved in the practice’s regeneration work. He is currently responsible for a number of PRP’s major regeneration projects, involving partnerships between housing associations, local authorities and a national housebuilders to regenerate housing areas and associated commercial and community facilities.

His expertise lies in project and cost management, and property development. Successful projects have included several regeneration projects of over 300 dwellings plus a number of complex partnering schemes to provide mixed tenure development to support the funding of care homes for older and physically disabled people. Philip has also led PRP’s involvement in addressing the Egan Agenda and project partnering and successfully managed the completion of the Globe Theatre.

Philip started his career as a quantity surveyor with Frances Graves and subsequently worked with Nottinghamshire County Council and the Milton Keynes Development Corporation. Here he was responsible for project management, cost planning, budgetary control, programming and the development appraisals for developments, including the CMK Shopping Centre, Railway Station, Bus Station and a number of office developments. At Conran Roche he was Project Manager of the Butlers Wharf Development one of London’s first major mixed use urban regeneration projects.

Philip is a Chartered Surveyor and was trained at Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham and Polytechnic of the South Bank, London.
