Adam joined PRP in July 2001, having previously gained a wide range of experience with prominent architectural offices both in the UK and on the continent. He has lead the design development on several urban renewal projects and mixed use schemes within the Smithfield office, concentrating on the development of innovative housing solutions.

He studied at the University of Liverpool, graduating in 1991 with a first class honours degree and the award of the school's thesis design prize, the Reilly Medal for a sustainable city centre housing regeneration scheme. Subsequently he was awarded a French government bursary to study urban housing solutions in Paris.

After a period of working in London which included the planning design for the IMAX cinema at Waterloo with Avery Associates, he moved to Germany to work with the award winning architect Rudiger Kramm on several innovative housing schemes concentrating on low cost prefabrication approaches to mass housing. This was followed with a move to the Swiss office of Herzog and de Meuron where projects undertaken included competition entries, a mixed use, city centre regeneration scheme in Munich and the Tate Modern project. For the last of these he undertook a leading design and co-ordination role from the early stages of the design development until completion.

Further museum and housing design experience has included work with Nicolas Grimshaw and Partners and Ian Simpson Architects.

Special areas of knowledge and interest include energy efficient and sustainable design approaches, innovative construction and design solutions and an integrated approach to the design of buildings, urban environments and landscape.
