Registered as an architect in 1989 after completing his studies at Oxford Brookes and the Institute of Urban studies in Washington, DC, Chris gained work experience in London and Hong Kong as well as a number of years in Germany, where he is fluent in the language.
Following a number of years working in Joint Venture with PRP while previously at Bill Dunster architects, Chris joined the practice full time in September 2007 as an Associate Director.
Since joining the practice Chris’ work has covered the English Partnership’s first Carbon Challenge competition, Hanham Hall, for circa 160 code 6 dwellings near Bristol; Eco Towns and Beyond: Learning from Europe – a research study looking at European exemplar development projects to understand more about the process behind their inception and successful delivery. He is tasked with driving forward integrated design process on strategic projects as well as representing the practice on the UK Green Building Council.
As chair of PRP’s sustainable Steering Group, his role is to ensure current thinking on sustainable design is understood throughout the company, and assist with the operations side, where PRP are working towards continual improvement in their own environmental performance as an organisation.
