Clare is an Associate Director within the Specialist Housing and Healthcare Group.

Since joining PRP in 1996, Clare has contributed significantly to a wide variety of projects, especially in special needs housing, social housing schemes and education work. Clare now has a particular knowledge in the area of housing for older people and has contributed to many projects which include extra care sheltered housing, care homes, continuing care villages and design for dementia, she has also contributed to writing design guidance in this field.

Clare has expertise in all areas of running a project from initial feasibilities to detail design and contract administration and also of the various procurement methods including traditional, design and build, partnering and PFIs.

Clare also has extensive experience in the education sector. Recent projects in this field, for which she was the project leader, include a recently completed new build Primary School in a conservation area at Mill Hill and a 65 bed student housing scheme at a private school in Dorset.

Whilst training at the University of Portsmouth Clare took a particular interest in urban design. During her Diploma she carried out a major study on the city of Portsmouth which won the 1995 RIBA SE regional prize and lead to a dissertation on urban space and an urban- infill student project for her thesis.
