Matthias Hartmann

Associate Director

Matthias joined PRP in February 2008 taking a lead role in Building and Scheme Design, and providing over 10 years of broad project and competition experience with a focus on front end design, sustainability and social aspects for community living. He is also experienced in delivering successful residential, mixed type and commercial projects.

Matthias has international experience with major projects in Germany and is adept at managing projects holistically from inception to completion.

Prior to joining PRP, Matthias worked at Atkins leading teams bidding for leisure projects, schools, offices and masterplanning. As an Associate within Atkins, Matthias had the opportunity to lead the construction phase for the new build office building for 900 employees in Bristol.

Matthias has worked on several notable UK projects, including the Derby General Hospital, the Edith Cavell Hospital in Peterborough and the NHS Headquarter in Leicester. In Cambridge, Matthias has successfully designed residential and student accommodation schemes.

Throughout his career Matthias has developed a major interest in design excellence and has participated in several international and RIBA competitions including Oxford, Bonn Square Town planning, and Birnbeck Island in Weston Super Mare.

Matthias studied Architecture and Philosophy at the Technical University (TU) Berlin.
