Having trained as an architect at Kingston Polytechnic (now Kingston University), Michael joined PRP in 1983 and became IT Director in October 2002.
Prior to joining PRP, Michael worked for a number of practices on a variety of new build and refurbishment projects including sheltered housing, agricultural buildings, a students hostel at Westfield College, Hampstead and feasibility for a sports hall for Millfield School.
On joining PRP in 1983, Michael was a project architect on many social and private housing schemes at all stages from inception to completion. These included housing schemes at Milton Keynes, waterside developments in Thamesmead and Chiswick, luxury houses and flats in central London, a conservation area of Maida Vale, as well as large developments of social housing for consortia of housing associations in Kingston and Southall, which have included community buildings and retail.
Michael took responsibility for IT within the practice in 1984 when PRP started adopting word processing technology, followed by the first CAD system in 1987. IT is now used in all aspects of the practice and Michael has been instrumental in the setting up of a Management Information System, Knowledge Management and is now involved in setting the strategy for Electronic Document Management.
