Graham joined PRP in January 2004 with a number of credentials and architectural awards under his belt, particularly for the Warrington Peace Centre, which won a number of design awards including a Civic Trust Special Award. He was appointed Group Director in 2007.
Graham’s vast experience spans a wide range of building types including Children’s Centres and Sure Start projects, special needs housing, refurbishment and upgrading of hospital accommodation; a range of educational buildings including sixth form colleges, modern police facilities and call centres. Graham has also worked on a number of important historic buildings like Westminster Abbey, The British Museum, visitor facilities at Housesteads Roman Fort on Hadrian’s Wall and Helmsley Castle in Yorkshire.
A particular career highlight has to be his work on the new £25 million Shropshire DHQ for the West Mercia Constabulary. This facility will comprise a new DHQ, a forty cell criminal justice centre and a call management centre. As lead consultant on the multi disciplinary project team, Graham developed the scheme to RIBA stage D and successfully presented it to a CABE Design Review.
At PRP, Graham leads several significantly large regeneration schemes, including Gilead Street in Liverpool, the first HMR scheme to be awarded planning approval. Graham also leads the Manchester healthcare practice which specialises in projects such as primary care facilities, like the recently completed Middlewood Medical Centre in Sheffield.
In his spare time, Graham serves as an assessor for the annual Civic Trust Awards. He trained at the Manchester Metropolitan University (formerly Manchester Polytechnic).
