The scheme, to be developed by Barratt Homes Limited, is designed to accommodate a 30-metre fall across the 13 acre site and will provide 262 new homes arranged in a series of crescents and terraced urban blocks. The accommodation ranges from 1-bed apartments to 4-bed houses, 30 of which will be affordable dwellings.
John Chapman, director at PRP said of the scheme: “All Saints is an example of good PPG3 design. The local authority is considering putting the scheme forward as an exemplar project for the principles outlined in Kent Design, demonstrating how high density and high quality can be achieved on a brownfield site.”
Starting on site in November, the scheme is due for completion in 2003.
