New Communities

Building sustainable communities, particularly on Greenfield sites or in new urban extensions around towns and cities, requires a specialised approach. Shaping where people live, work and spend their leisure time has a profound effect on people both at an individual and community level. Designing for new communities needs to take into account the wider context in order to create an environment that integrates the physical surroundings with the social fabric of the community in a sensitive way.

At PRP, we believe in designing high quality, sustainable new communities where lives can flourish. Our design philosophy is therefore informed by a passionate interest in place making – the home represents the centre of personal life, whilst the street, square and court reflect where the private life interacts with the public realm. New communities or urban extensions must have good connections and access to local services; our street patterns are therefore designed to form the backbone to a seamless, integrated community.

We put our masterplanning, residential development and urban design expertise to good use; our design process makes the best use of available land whilst helping to create attractive and safe communities that are thriving and connected.
