Winner of the ‘What house?’ Best Development award, the International Property Awards for Best Architecture and Best UK Development 2003, PRP’s design of Kew Riverside embodies what is today seen as quintessentially London living.
A delicate balance of classic and contemporary architecture, Kew Riverside is a stylish and high quality residential quarter located near the River Thames at Kew. Special consideration has been made for generous landscaping, which includes extensive use of water together with a series of subtly changing character areas, the result has been a unique and stimulating environment of exceptional quality.
The development of more than 400 homes, on a ‘brownfield’ site, has a wide range of dwellings ranging from one bedroom apartments to large four storey town houses similar to those found in many of London’s traditional Squares. Interestingly, many of the homes are for affordable and intermediate tenures and have been designed to be visually indistinguishable from the private sale properties, proving that affordable housing can be extremely well designed and attractive.
